Delivery & Returns


We deliver our flooring all over Ireland and Northern Ireland using quality local couriers, heavy goods haulers and our own vans.

Smaller orders that are delivered by courier will also come with a tracking number so that you can follow your order every step of the way. For larger orders we use specialist heavy goods haulers who will deliver your floor on a pallet by kerbside delivery. Your order will be brought as close as possible to your entrance.


Our 3rd Party Couriers and Hauliers Cannot:

  • Unpack your order
  • Dispose of packaging materials
  • leave goods without a signature
  • bring goods inside for you

Please ensure that you are available to receive your delivery and bring it safely inside.


Access for Large Vehicles

Please ensure that your address has clear access for delivery vehicles before ordering. Narrow lanes and low bridges can cause problems for bulky goods delivery vehicles. If you are not sure please just call our office and we can advise you.

When we deliver using our own drivers, we are often able to offer a doorstep service where we will bring the floor to your front door and when possible inside your home. We are only able to bring the floor to downstairs rooms within your home. 


Checking Your Order

It is very important to check your order is complete, correct and also look for any signs of damage before accepting your delivery. If you spot any damage or missing/incorrect items, please accept the delivery and mark this on the delivery docket detailing what is damaged or incorrect. We can then replace these items quickly. Regrettably, we are only able to replace any damaged items that have been signed for as damaged. If you have not been able to check your items sufficiently on arrival, you must do so within 24hrs of receipt and inform us immediately of any damages by email to  

Once you have signed for a delivery, it then becomes your property.  We can accept no further responsibility for items once they have been delivered to the customer’s address and signed for. For this reason, you must be available to receive and check your delivery and then store it safely upon receipt.


Why Don’t We Offer Free Delivery On Our Wood Flooring

To ensure our online and in-store prices remain competitive and free of any hidden charges, we charge for delivery only when required. This ensures that our customers who collect in store are not paying higher prices than necessary, in order to fund a “free” delivery service for online orders.


Late Deliveries

While we do make every effort to ensure our deliveries arrive on their estimated date, due to circumstances that can be beyond our control, we cannot always guarantee that your order will arrive on the arranged day.

We recommend not to arrange installers until your goods have been delivered and checked. In the rare event that a delivery does not arrive on the arranged day, we will arrange a suitable alternative day for you.

We are sure that you will love your floor, but if for any reason it does not meet your expectations we can, of course, accept no fuss returns on any orders. Please ensure that all packaging remains intact as we cannot accept the return of goods that are not within the original packaging or in perfect condition.

Goods leftover (up to 15% of the total purchased flooring) can also be returned. They must remain unused and in the original sealed packaging. As they are returned to our stock, we can only accept unopened goods, which are returned in perfect condition.

To be eligible to return a floor you must notify us by email within 14 days of receiving your floor that you would like to return it. We will supply you with our return address for you to arrange this return of your flooring. The delivery must arrive with us no later than 30 days after it was delivered to you. It must be accompanied by a copy of relevant proof of purchase, including all contact information.

All returns are at the discretion of German Floor.
